What are the advantages of cold feed extruder?

rubber extruder saves heat smelting equipment and is easy to realize mechanization and automation. Moreover,because the main machine strengthens the shearing and plasticization of the screw, the rubber compound can obtain uniform temperature and plasticity; it improves the quality of the extruded products of rubber extuder and improves. To improve the surface finish, the extruded semi-finished products have relatively stable and consistent size specifications; the pressure sensitivity of cold feed is small; the application range is wide and the flexibility is large;the investment and production costs of cold feed rubber extuder are low.

What is the purpose and method of cooling the extrudate、

The purpose of cooling: to prevent the semi-finished product produced by rubber extuder from self-sulfurization during storage; to restore the rubber to a certain stiffness and prevent deformation; to cool the semi-finished product to shrink and shape.

Cooling method: spray and water tank cooling. To prevent the rubber extruder output from sudden cooling （various degrees of cooling lead to irregular deformation; frosting), it is often cooled with warm water around 40， and then further reduced to 20~30.

What is the flow and extrusion expansion of the rubber in the mouth?

1.The flow of the rubber in the mouth：After the rubber enters the mouth through the runner of the rubber extuder, it is rxtruded out of the mouth after being subjected to stronger shear and plasticization when passing through the mouth. Therefore, the flow state in the mouth and the size of the mouth structure determine the final shape and quality of rubber extruder products.The rubber material flows through the mouth under the action of the hydrostatic pressure formed by the head of the rubber extruder only as and axial movement. Since the thickness of the mouth is generally very thin, the pressure gradient formed by the rubber compound tn the mouth is very large.

2.Compression expansion； The rubber is a viscoelastic body. When it flows through the mouth, it undergoes viscous flow and elastic deformation at the same time. When the rubber material enters the mouth from the nose of the rubber extuder, the flow channel is generally narrowed, the flow velocith increases, and a velocity gradient is formed in the flow direction. This speed causes the rubber to produce stretch and elastic deformation.When the orifice flow channel of the rubber extruder is short, the stretch deformation of the rubber is too late to recover, and it will expand after being extruded.(That is, the diameter of the extrudate is larger than the diameter of the mouth shape, and the axial shringkage occurs). The extruded expansion of rubber extruder mainly depends on the amout of recoverable deformation and the length of relaxation time when the rubber material flows.
